Put it All Together in A♭
You now know the notes of the scale and the chords that give the Key of A♭ Major/F minor its unique sound and feel; you’ve experimented with scalesonging; and you’re building facility with the Hanon and rhythmic displacement exercises. It’s time to put it all together.
Select your rhythms and choose a backing track to play along with. Now expand your concept of scalesongs. You can play “edge-to-edge”, skip notes, and repeat notes. Leave some space. See what happens if you play a note not in the scale. Remember your explorations in Breaking Loose Part 2 and try shifting your hand positions from time to time.
